The Attick

half tale - half musical in two acts

Director György Böhm

"In this attick, between Sky and Earth, where East and West meet, there are wonderful, magical people. This half tale - half musical talks to everybody from the age of 9 to 99 about goodness, beauty, humanity and love. If you miss anything, if you have a feeling you need a place, come to our attick! Come to the theatre, because the magic of the attick is the theatre itself. Here every dream comes true and spirits can be seen... Come and you will see it for yourself!" György Böhm, director

This Attic is the most extraordinary place, where anything can happen, just like in tales. Here, between sky and earth, a young scientist tries to develop the most intelligent computer ever, spending all his energies on this job. But all of a sudden mortal and immortal creatures appear in the attic and start disturbing him. What he has to understand now is more difficult than the job he did: that he has nothing to do with the world he knew about so far...

This musical was originally written for 'Vígszínház' in Budapest where it has been on for 25 years. The Attick is a truly Hungarian classic, a box office success, an immensely popular musical loved by all age groups.

This spectacular performance is played in Hungarian but may be enjoyable for non-Hungarian speakers interested in Hungarian theatre and musicals.
